Monday 6 July 2026 A New Chapter Begins at Woodford Valley Primary Academy Woodford Valley Primary Academy is celebrating the opening of its wonderful new school library, officially opened by James Passmore. The project has transformed an old working space into a welcoming, dedicated reading environment where children can immerse themselves in books and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Monday 29 June 2026 Corsham Primary School visit and talk by Professor Dame Sonia Blandford Corsham Primary were pleased to host Sonia Blandford who received her Damehood from Princess Anne at Windsor Castle recently. Dame Sonia talked to the children about her accomplishments and how she achieved her damehood.

Wednesday 24 June 2026 Sarah Gibson MP visit to Corsham Primary We were delighted to welcome Sarah Gibson, MP, to Corsham Primary School for a special assembly. She spoke to the children about how Parliament is organised and explained the roles of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The children learned about the wide range of political parties across the UK and how democracy enables people to have a voice in decision‑making.

Friday 15 May 2026 Corsham Primary Eco and School Councillors attend annual community meeting On Thursday 14th May, the Corsham Primary councillors attended a local annual community meeting at the Rudloe Community Centre. It was a great opportunity to meet other neighbourhood groups in our local area, as well as, for the councillors to share what they are doing in school with regard to their own role as Eco and School Councillors.

Monday 11 May 2026 The Adventures of Tap and Switch Origin Story As part of the Trust's commitment to collaboration, the Deputy Heads now meet three times a year in person in their hubs. One of the agenda items is always pupil collaboration.

The Quality Mark panel found that Corsham Primary has demonstrated outstanding commitment to improvement in Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity.

Wednesday 4 February 2026 Ivy Lane Primary at Young Voices On Wednesday 7th January, Year 5 from Ivy Lane Primary went to Birmingham for Young Voices. They were part of a 6,000 strong choir made up of children from different Primary Schools around the UK. During the day, the children rehearsed together the songs and dances they have been practising in school. This was all in preparation for the performance in the evening to around 5,000 adults who made the trip. The day was extremely memorable for the children and despite the tiredness, after arriving home around midnight, all of the children were keen to share their memories of the event the next day in school! Well done Year 5s on a truly memorable experience!

Tuesday 16 December 2025 Pitton CE Primary - Panto trip On 11th December, Pitton CE Primary went to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the Salisbury Playhouse. The school had front row seats, which also led to Mr Russell, one of our teachers, being called up on stage - which obviously the children loved!

Thursday 20 November 2025 Corsham Primary Joins Community Poppy Project Corsham Primary was proud to take part in the Corsham Peacock Women's Institute and Corsham Town Council Poppy Project. Children from both our Pound Pill and Broadwood sites worked alongside members of the community to knit and create poppy pom-poms, forming part of a stunning display across Corsham to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Second World War.
