Reuben, Harriet, Hugo and Izzy have summarised for us what it’s all about: “we started our walk in Winterslow and stopped off at the church there where we were told about the history of the church and why we were doing the walk, which was to mark the link between the two Church schools that are part of Pickwick. Before long, we reached Pitton and headed for St Peter's Church. We talked to the pupils from Winterslow about our school church services that are held there. We loved seeing all the wildlife on our walk and had lots of fun.”
We want our pupils to have an inspirational experience of education that sets them up for lifelong learning in all areas of their mind, body and spirit.
Emily went on to add "I have never walked to Pitton before, so I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed being outside and learning at the same time.” Heidi said "I found it very fascinating looking at all the lovely nature. I liked talking about RE with other people and going to the Church".
Agnes thought "It was nice to look around the school and see how different it was to our school. Next time it would be nice to see what they do in lessons too."
Our worship council representatives have traced for us the impact of our Christian Distinctiveness. Walking together, learning from each other, celebrating how far we have travelled and looking to a future, full of hope.
