The children in the Reception Classes at Aloeric Primary School performed their Stay and Sing Nativity to parents, carers and friends on Monday. The children sang the songs beautifully, and then parents stayed for mince pies and a look at the children’s learning in the classrooms.
Years 1 and 2 performed their Christmas Show to parents last week, and the whole school attended Christmas services at St Michael’s Church. Parents and Carers of children in Year 2 had a further treat, in the form of a short Recorder Concert. They’ve only been learning since September, and their rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’ was particularly jolly!
Year 5 parents and carers were invited into the classrooms for a ‘Stay and Make … Christmas decorations’. There was a lovely hub-bub in both classrooms, not to mention lots of glitter and tinsel.
Eagle Class have also been enjoying Mrs Robbins' Christmas jumpers and dresses – a different one every day!
The school is looking forward to welcoming Mrs Rebecca Clifton as Head of School in January. Mrs Clifton comes to us from Queen’s Crescent School, where we know she will be missed. Ms Jeffries will be stepping back into her Assistant Headteacher role, and is looking forward to being back in Reception as Ladybird Class Teacher on Thursdays and Fridays.
