We started the new academic year by welcoming our new children to school. All 90 of our Foundation Stage children are settling in really well and it is lovely to see so many bright new faces in Apples, Pears and Strawberries enjoying the first days of their educational journey. Of course, it is not only the youngest children who have been welcomed to Corsham Primary - there are also mid-phase children who have moved into the area over the summer and have joined in with different year groups.
Our Year 6 children are excitedly preparing for their upcoming residential trip to Liddington at the end of October – this is a great team-building opportunity where pupils across both sites get to know each other well and face new challenges and experiences together.
It has been a busy summer at our Broadwood site. Builders, electricians, plumbers, decorators, carpenters and school staff all worked hard over the holiday to ensure that everything was ready for the children when they returned. After a year of building works, school opened fresh and finished at the start of term. The classrooms are absolutely wonderful and children settled in happily to their new space.
