Ivy Lane School Children in Need

Special visitors arrive at Ivy Lane School

On Wednesday 13th November, we had some special visitors arrive at the school in support of Children In Need. A giant inflatable bustard arrived along with Pudsey Bear and staff from BBC Wiltshire.

Ben Prater, the Breakfast show host, pulled a giant inflatable Bustard bird around the county with a team of helpers and covered 50 miles in 5 days collecting money along the way. The children wore something yellow for the day and were very excited to be able to meet Pudsey, giving him hi-fives and putting their £1 donations into the collection buckets.

Also during Children In Need week, Sienna S, Sophie S, Libby T and Daisy B raised a fabulous amount of £94.48 by selling badges, crocheted pieces, CDs and doing some busking. A huge well done to the girls for spending their spare time making things to sell and to raise money for this special charity.

Thank you also to all the children, parents and carers for donating towards this very worthy cause.
