It has been a really positive start to the new academic year at Queens Crescent School and it has been lovely to welcome back all of our children and their families. The children have quickly adjusted to the new routines in place and it is lovely to hear the school, once again, filled with the sound of learning.
We have been busy embedding the new enquiry approach to the school’s wider curriculum and the children have enjoyed exploring the difference between noise and sound, how lives are saved and what is my hat made from? Amongst many other enquiries as well. The starting point for each enquiry has been really engaging and has taken advantage of what we have on our doorstep in the local community. Some of these starting points have included: an extreme mountain bike display, eating astronaut food and a virtual visit from a milliner, who has actually made hats for royalty.
It has been a great start to the year and we are looking forward to the rest of term 2 and the lead up to Christmas.
