As well as the school's continued work towards being a sustainable school, during the summer term the theme of sustainability leads their enquiries in all year groups. They will look at local and global issues and encourage the children to be courageous advocates for innovation and change.
The school is involved in a ground-breaking eco-engineering project that aims to restore coral reefs and support marine life by providing a sustainable artificial reef system. The project links the school with a research team called the Future Oceans Foundation who are building structures and projects on a global scale to increase resilience and restore coral reefs. If successful, the school will grow its very own piece of coral reef which can then be used to restore coral reef and support marine life back in the ocean.
